How do we help you?
Volunteers in Colombia is dedicated to supporting you in planning and making your volunteer adventure in Colombia become a reality. We are committed to making a mutually beneficial connection between our volunteers and our host organizations. Volunteers in Colombia will guide and support our volunteers throughout their stay in Colombia.
We believe it is important that our volunteers know upfront that our goal is creating systemic change in the communities that we work in. We do not support “volunteer tourism” because we believe that this form of volunteering does not have a positive impact on Colombian society as a whole.
We ask our volunteers to help cover our administrative costs, by charging a one-time fee of 85 USD which will be used for background checks, interview with volunteers and NGO’s, application- and administration fees. Our shared goal of a better Colombia will undoubtedly create the change we both want to see.
Ultimately, Volunteers in Colombia wants to maximize our impact. Volunteers in Colombia focuses mainly on the smaller local organizations that do not have the means nor the capability to advertise their needs on websites or social media accounts. By supporting our Foundation, these local organizations will receive the help they so desperately need.
