With this program we welcome children from 7 years old in the classroom to participate in different educational programs, including English classes, for a better future. This room is open from Monday to Friday and is run by the Volunteers in Colombia Foundation and our dear partner "Niños del Futuro". We believe that sometimes all you need is a little push in the right direction. Un Paso Adelante offers that support to participants.
Unfortunately, there is a high rate of domestic violence and sexual abuse in the neighborhood where we work. Un Paso Adelante focuses on providing children and youth the opportunity to learn in a safe environment.
This space is not only a classroom, but also serves as a resource center and second home. We provide the community with Internet access, a listening ear for those who need it, and a space where children can participate in recreational activities, such as playing games or creating artwork, so they can discover and develop their talents.
