You've decided to go to Colombia, and what now!? What do you have to bring with you and what do you have to think about? Do you need a visa, do the locals speak English, what kind of plugs do they use there? There are still so many things to consider when you have decided to actually go.
The world must be explored!
Getting from one place to another is not difficult. You have several options:
By bus it's easy to do if you have the time. Remember that Colombia is a big country and has many mountains. A bus ride of 6 hours is no exception. On many routes you will drive on steep mountain roads filled with hairpin bends where Colombians still manage to catch up. If you quickly suffer from car sickness then I strongly advise you to take a travel pill in advance. Another small tip; a bus trip of 6 hours can easily become 8 hours. Consider road works and breaks of about 30 to 45 minutes.
If you don't like spending so much time in the bus, you can go by plane! Viva Air, LATAM or Avianca will take you to your destination at a low price (if you book on time). Pay attention to the small letters when booking. And if necessary, book an extra suitcase. Since these companies charge cheap prices, they have a lot of rules that you should not overlook.
There are also smaller planes that can take you to smaller cities. This can be done with ADA or Easyfly.
